Mammoth Cave To Showcase Artifacts

MAMMOTH CAVE NATIONAL PARK, Ky. — A project at Mammoth Cave National Park will allow visitors to see some of the thousands of artifacts that the park has collected.Park Superintendent Pat Reed said work on a 4,400-square-foot exhibit space is more than 75 percent complete.

The project is the second phase of upgrades to the park’s visitors’ center, according to the Daily News of Bowling Green.Officials said the exhibit space should take a couple of months to complete, then exhibits will be installed a few months after that.The space will feature faux stone cave walls, a tunnel to crawl through, photographs of the cave valley, a mural of the ancient sea in the cave and other displays.Another feature will be a live feed from a bat nursery on park property.
